City Under Siege

Published on August 13th, 2010 by in Movies

Do you like Hong Kong’s sci-fi movie? Normally, there are 2 types of films that made in Hong Kong: ghost/soul and crime. This story is about a circus clown, Sunny (played by Aaron Kwok) goes with a few colleagues to explore the cave in Malaysia. They found gold but unfortunately they inhale a type of gas which is the biological weapon that left over by Japanese during World War II.

After they returns to Hong Kong, they become mutants and commit lots of crimes. But, Sunny is not one of them and become superhero in one of the saving incident. Sunny got special immune capability that he can ‘control’ that virus very well. He meets Angel (played by Shu Qi). She is planning to make use of Sunny to save her career. Sunny need to fight with other mutants to save the city.

If compared to Hollywood’s mutant themed movies, this one might be not so interesting. There are still many rooms that need to improve. How about special effect? Nothing special. If budget is low, don’t make high tech film.
